Cinecitta’ has the largest film studios in Europe over an area of 40 hectares representing the most important reference point for the national and international cinema, television, commercials, video and photo shootings.
Cinecitta’ studios are located just 9 km from the centre of Rome, a few steps from the metro station and can be reached easily by tourists or anyone else interested to visit them.
The Studios are part of one of the biggest production communities in the world, second only to Hollywood.
More than 3,000 productions have been made in Cinecittà studios, from recent features like The Passion of The Christ, Gangs of New York, HBO’S Rome, The Life Aquatic, Miracle at St Anna, Amalfi, Fifty Seconds and Dino de Laurentis’ Decameron to such cinema classics as Ben Hur, Cleopatra and the films of Federico Fellini.
So this is a great oppotunity to spend a spectacular journey through the studios to discover the secrets of cinema.
The exhibition is open every day (closed on Tuesday) from 9.30 am to 6.30 pm (ticket office close at 5.30 pm).
