Pope Benedict XVI resign, Conclave to be called soon in March 2013

Pope Benedict XVI resign conclaveWe have to go back more than seven centuries back to find the last event of the resignation of a pope, when Celestine V decided to leave the pontificate.
Now comes the unexpected decision of Benedict XVI, who announced his resignation in Latin during the consistory for the canonization of the martyrs of Otranto, and we can affirm that this is a real historical and uinique event.
Last goodbye by Joseph Ratzinger to the faithful will be on next Wednesday February 27 in S. Peter.
This will be the last official ceremony of the Pope before his departure in the evening of February 28 as he has just annunced.
The Conclave to elect the new Pope will be held instead in mid-March, may be also same days before as some “rumors” say in last days.
March’s conclave also means pilgrims will be coming from all over the world for the event to be in Rome during the election of a new pope.
So, If you’re planning a March trip to Rome to assist at this unique event or also only for a vacation what best chance to book your stay at Colors Hotel which is in a stategical location just a 10-minutes pleasant walk from the Vatican and St. Peter’s Square annd from city center ?
